Pre-K and Kindergarten

The Waldorf pre-k/kindergarten is a nurturing gateway between the warmth and security of home, and the stimulating social realm of school. The beauty of the environment, the magical quality of the fairytales, songs and games, and the caring of the teacher all aid in preparing the young child for academics in grade school.

Through a carefully unified program of structured and unstructured activities, the children are given full scope to unfold their creative and imaginative faculties. Simple toys and equipment stimulate the child’s imagination to create an endless variety of scenarios. Painting, singing, stories, beeswax modeling, drawing, gardening, puppetry, play-acting, baking, games and handwork are part of every pre-k/kindergarten week.
