Autumnal festivals of the beginning of the school year, Harvest, and Preparing Light for the coming winter. Autumn is the time of harvest and abundance. The days begin to grow short as darkness sets in earlier and earlier. Many festivals of this time relate to “light”. We see jack-o-lanterns, lantern walks and anticipate the Advent Spiral, all reminding us to nurture the light within to help us through the winter’s darkness.
