Deposit & Fees
Enrollment Deposit. You are asked to provide a REFUNDABLE ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT of $300 along with your contract. The Enrollment Deposit is refundable, less any outstanding amount due to the school, upon completion of the school year for non-returning students who notify the school in writing of their intent to withdraw prior to April 1st. Continuing students will have their Enrollment Deposit applied to the new school year. The Enrollment Deposit is non-refundable should the student not enter in September or should he/she be withdrawn or dismissed prior to the normal completion of the school year.
Materials Fee. Payment of this non-refundable fee covers the special, high quality materials used in art, music and general lessons. The Materials Fee is nonrefundable and is due by July 1 or the date of enrollment (with the Enrollment Deposit), whichever is later.
Additional Fees may arise, at parent expense, if a teacher recommends tutoring, external consultations, or special services which the school does not provide. Other expenses could include yearly class trips, which vary from class to class and from year to year, musical instrument purchase or rental and music lessons, or fees that arise from late charges or after school attendance. Teachers may be consulted for approximate costs of class activities not included in regular fee payments. Afterschool Care is available school days until 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee.
Tuition Assistance is available based on assessment of the family’s financial need, demonstrated commitment to Waldorf education and the availability of funds. New applicants to the school will be considered for tuition assistance only after the child is accepted. Tuition assistance is available for all grades including 5-day Pre K/Kindergarten. Tuition Assistance applicants in the 3-day program are eligible if the family has a sibling in the 5-day or Grades program. Consideration for tuition assistance is assured only for qualifying applications received before February 15th. After February 15th, funds are disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis, based on continued availability of funds. The one payment and two-payment discounts are not offered for those families receiving tuition assistance.
